Ready to go home. Not ready to say goodbye.

Saturday July 8th, 2017
What a trip!  Rock family-be encouraged because the church in Honduras is doing well. We spent the morning cleaning out the building that will be used for the health clinic. In the afternoon we went to a local neighborhood to build relationships.  Some went to homes to invite the people to church and to pray for any needs.  Others started a soccer game in order to attract people who might otherwise not be open to talking.  We gave out medical supplies and shoes and soccer balls.
In the evening we attended church with our Honduran sisters and brothers. The church band is a demonstration of God at work.  Less than 2 years ago the church did not have live music unless a band from another city came to play.  Now people within the church formed a band and they play every week.  They sound great!   Another example is that we saw a few people at the service that we had invited–praise God.  After the service we were able to follow up and encourage those people.
As Mr. Beaver told the Pevensie children, “Aslan is on the move.”  The church in Honduras is fulfilling the great commission.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.”  Whether through service or evangelism, the church is reaching the lost.
We are ready to come home to see our families. And it is hard to say goodbye. The love of the church family is so palpable. Until next year…..
